Haridwar. Teachers` day was celebrated with traditional
gusto and enthusiasm in Patanjali University.
On the occasion, the Chancellor of Patanjali
University Swami Ramdevji and Vice-Chancellor
Acharya Balkrishnaji addressed the students of
Patanjali University and Ayurveda College. The program
began with lightening of lamp. Later, the students
of University presented cultural programs
including `guru-vandana` and `ish-vandana`.
While
addressing on the occasion Acharya Balkrishna said that the day commemorates the birthday of Dr
Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. In fact, fortunate students
get efficient teachers. A pupil is immensely
talented, if his parents and teachers are considerate
of his welfare. In his address, Yogrishi Swami
Ramdev explained the contribution of teachers in
the development of the nation.
He told that previously
teachers were considered as role-models but
now actor, actress, politicians and industrialists
have replaced them. The need is teachers’ showcasing
their character and life as a role-model. On the
occasion, all the teachers of Patanjali University and
Ayurveda College were present. The students conducted
the program.
